            DISCOVERIES OF THE JOURNEY

Looking at my life, following Jesus for many years, these are some of the things I have

       discovered.

1.      Jesus will receive what we dedicate to Him.

2.      It is not bad to be poor.

3.      Jesus has creative ways to lead us to our soul mate.

4.      Following Jesus is interesting and exciting.

5.      Interesting and exciting, yes, but not always fun.

6.      Dare to obey and see what God will do.

7.      We don’t know what will happen but Jesus does.

8.      Jesus knows how to fill us up when we are empty.

9.      Jesus will give us His Holy Spirit as He promised.

10.  Consider the consequences but obey anyway.

11.  Jesus wants us free from fear.

12.  Jesus is well able to protect us if he wants to.

13.  Jesus is worthy of anything.

14.  Sometimes even if we are unafraid we may be required to do things we don’t feel we need to.

15.  Not all our deepest heart desires will come to pass.

16.  Some things we never will understand.

17.   Jesus knows how to comfort us.

18.  Even when we know we are doing what the Lord desires it may take an emotional toll on us.

19.  When we walk through the darkest experience we can imagine, Jesus will be faithful to do all we believed He could do when we were walking in the sunshine.

20.  Sometimes obedience is full of joy and excitement and sometimes it is very, very difficult.

21.  Jesus always has a further plan for us.

22.  No Fear! (Again!)

23.  Jesus may perform a miracle in order to speak to us.

24.  It is the Lord’s desire that the Holy Spirit flow through us.

25.  We can put unexpected events to good use.

26.  Things are not always what they seem.

27.  Even though we are a long way on our journey with Jesus, we are still capable of acting in mistrust and dismay.

28.  We may not know the reasons but we can understand perfectly what Jesus wants us to do.

29.  What we think is our dream is often rather the Lord’s dream for us.

30.  Don’t stop too soon.  The best may be just up ahead.  Don’t miss it!
